The Story Behind Nexo Memoria
Our Reason for Being
Nexo Memoria was not born in a corporate boardroom or as a simple commercial project. It was born in everyday life, in living with the diagnosis, in sleepless nights, and above all, in unconditional love. We were born from the real experience of caring for a mother with Alzheimer's.
A Life Dedicated to Service and Technology
Throughout my professional life, I have dedicated myself to the world of home services and electronic and industrial technology. Along this path, I discovered that my favorite clients, those for whom I felt deep respect and vocation, were elderly people. I enjoyed using my technical knowledge to make their lives more comfortable and secure.
However, life had prepared for me the greatest test and the most important project of my existence when my own mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.
The Caregiver's Challenge and the Birth of a Mission
Upon assuming the role of caregiver, I faced an overwhelming reality: the enormous lack of clear information, the scarcity of practical resources, and the disconnection that exists for those of us trying to protect our loved ones. I felt firsthand the helplessness, the anxiety, and that unique challenge shared by thousands of people: How do you care for and keep a family member safe when, due to distance or work, we cannot be physically present at all times?
As an Electronics Engineer, my mind began to seek solutions. I understood that technology, environmental organization, and proper stimulation do not replace our love, but they do become our best allies.
I decided that all my technical experience and the years of learning caring for my mother could not stay at home alone. I had to extend a helping hand to other caregivers going through the same journey between the United States and Latin America. That is how Nexo Memoria was born.
What We Do
We are a comprehensive platform and bilingual e-commerce designed to transform the quality of life of families living with memory loss and Alzheimer's. We focus on three fundamental pillars:
